Day Trips and "Boot Camp" Training Sessions this Summer from IBK Initiatives

No comments :
Our friends at IBK Initiatives have sent us details of some great, inclusive events they are running over the summer holidays!

We are organising two day trips this summer and we would love to invite young people and their PAs to come and join us.

On Wednesday 12th August we will be taking a day trip to the seaside to Bridlington and on Wednesday 26th August, we are organising a day trip to Leeds with a theatre performance in the evening. Because we have secured some funding this year, we will be able to offer these trips either for free or for minimal contribution from families. We would love to see lots of young people join us.

If your son or daughter, or  young people you may know would be interested to come along please get in touch with us. Places do tend to fill up quickly and we will have to honour young people on a first come first served basis but we do our best to accommodate young people. If you are interested could you please indicate it to us as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

And for the fitness bods out there...

Over the summer we will be offering some sessions with a qualified personal trainer who has offered to run some FREE taster boot-camp style training sessions for disabled young people here at St Mary's. If you are interested please let us know. It's promising to be a fantastic opportunity to strengthen those muscles and get us all moving a bit more.

IBK Initiatives operates from St Mary's Community Centre on Bramhall Lane, just outside Sheffield City Centre.

If you are interested in any of these summer events, it is essential to book as soon as possible by calling 0114 2230236 as places are limited, and offered on a "first come first served" basis.

IBK Initiatives will also be running a series of activities starting in September, which we'll post here on the blog shortly.

We'd love to hear from any families who attend these events! Please feel free to comment here on the blog or join the conversation on our Facebook page!
