Celebrate Sparkle's 1st Birthday at our Artism Awareness Exhibition!
On the 22nd of September 2015 we want to celebrate our special children and their achievements by hosting an art exhibition showcasing their work! We've invited some very special guests to attend this event, including the Lord Mayor of Sheffield!
We're asking for submissions of artwork from all our Sparkle Children!
We want to showcase the special creativity of all our children, no matter what their age or artistic style! These artworks will be displayed in a gallery to create an exclusive one-day exhibition of art produced by children on the Autism Spectrum in Sheffield! All children who submit a piece of art for the exhibition will receive a certificate and may even be featured in local media!Guidelines for submissions:
Ideally we'd love to be able to display all matter of art, but due to restrictions beyond our control we ask that the art your child submits follow these guidelines:- Work must be the original art of the child!
- No larger than A3 please!
- Art must be "flat", such as a drawing, painting, photograph or printed digital art. Collages which have protruding parts/3d elements may get damaged so we ask for these not to be submitted for this exhibition
- Children may submit more than one piece, but we cannot guarantee space for them all to be displayed
- Please ensure your child's name and age is written on the back of the art work so we can create a label to credit them for their work.
How to submit your child's art for the exhibition
You can hand your child's art to any member of the Sparkle Team at one of our upcoming events (such as the Fill a Bag for a Fiver on September 3rd or the Parent Group on September 10th).
Alternatively, you can pop the artwork over in person to the CADS Works from September 15th-21st.
If you have any difficulty getting your child's artwork to us, please get in touch on our Facebook page or send us an email to info@sparklesheffield.co.uk and we can arrange an alternative solution.
