A Checklist to Help Identify Meltdown Triggers
Meltdowns are a frequent and difficult concerns for parents with children on the autism spectrum. Over time, we learn to understand and avoid many triggers, but there will be times when we really don't know how what has caused (or built up over a period of time) a meltdown to happen.
We Are Like Your Child has compiled a checklist for identifying sources of aggression which can help identify possible triggers for our children's meltdowns. It is not an exhaustive list, but is very helpful, especially for those who may have only recently received a diagnosis for their child or who are experiencing a distressing period of unexplained anxiety.
Take a look at the checklist here.
